Heathen Bio
Heathen is a thrash metal band from San Francisco, California, United States. The band was formed in 1984, and its current members include guitarist Lee Altus, lead vocalist David White, guitarist/backing vocalist Kragen Lum, bassist Jason Mirza, and drummer Jim DeMaria. They released their debut album, titled “Breaking the Silence”, in 1987. The following year, Carl Sacco left the band and was replaced by Darren Minter.
Bassist Marc Biedermann joined the band to help them record their second album, “Victims of Deception”, which was released in 1991. The band went on tour in Europe in support of the album. After the untimely death of Laire and his girlfriend in an accident, the band wanted to record a covers EP dedicated to them, but the band was dissolved in 1993. They reunited in 2001 and released their third album, “The Evolution of Chaos” in 2009. Their fourth album, “Empire of the Blind” was released in 2020.
