Blue Lab Beats Bio
Blue Lab Beats is a British jazz, hip-hop, and electronica duo that was created in 2015 and is based in London, England. The duo consists of producer Namali Kwaten, better known by the nickname NK-OK, and the multi-instrumentalist David Mrakpor, better known as Mr DM. They released their first EP called Blue Skies in 2016, which was followed by their first full-length album titled Xover in 2018. This album contains collaborations with several artists including Nubya Garcia, Moses Boyd, and Nérjida.
In 2019 they released their following album called Voyage, which had a more electronic sound to it. In 2021 their third album came out, which is called The Sounds of Africa, and has Kaidi Akinnibi as their main collaborator. Among their most famous songs we can find “Pineapple”, “The Idea” and “Nights in Havana”.
