Nora Roberts (JD Robb) is an author born on 10th October 1950 in Maryland, United States. She has written more than 225 romance novels. She studied in a Catholic school, and although she jokes about nurses, she credits them for inspiring her to be the prolific writer she is today. She was born into a family of readers, so reading and creating stories had been part of her life for a long time.
During a blizzard, she took a pencil and started writing down all the stories. That’s how her career as an author started. She wrote several manuscripts that were rejected but finally got her book “Irish Thoroughbred” published in 1981. She is a member of numerous writer's groups and has won multiple awards from both the publishing industry and her colleagues. She was recently called “America’s Favorite Novelist” by The New Yorker.
