Amber Liu is a Taiwanese-American singer, songwriter, rapper, and composer, born in Los Angeles, California on September 18, 1992. She is best known for being a member of the South Korean girl group f(x). In 2008 she was cast from a global audition at SM Entertainment. She trained with the company and in 2009 became a member of the group f(x). She has composed and written some of the songs for the group like “Summer Lover”, “Goodbye Summer” and others. In 2011 she got a part in the reality variety show Invincible Youth and was with the show for a year before having to leave to train for touring. In 2015 she released her first solo EP Beautiful with the title track “Shake That Brass.” In 2018 she released the solo mixtape Rouge Rouge that contains six tracks on SoundCloud. That same year she signed with Steel Wool Entertainment and released the Albums White Noise + Lost At Sea and CountDown + Beautiful. She has also made appearances and had roles in the shows Show Champ, We Got Married Global Edition, Ailee & Amber One Fine Day, A Song For You 3, Real Men, Top Fly, A Song For You 4, and We Got Married. In 2015 she won an MBC Entertainment Award for Best Female Newcomer Award for her role in Real Men.
