Kanika Kapoor is an Indian Singer and Composer who was born on August 21, 1978 in Lucknow, India. She achieved her music education degree in the Bhatkhande Music Institute, and released her first song in 2012 called “Jugni Ji” for a music video, which became one of the most popular songs of that year, and for which Kanika won the “Brit Asia TV Music Award” for “Best Single”. With its success, she was asked to sing the song “Baby Doll” with “Meet Bros Anjjan” for the 2014 film “Ragini MMS 2”, winning the “Mirchi Music Award” for “Number One Song of the Year”.
Her continuous success allowed Kanika to participate in a concert tour called “SLAM! The Tour” (2014) across North America, to perform alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. She then kept releasing songs for films such as “All Is Well” (2015) and “Hate Story 3” (2015). In 2019, Kanika gained her spot among the judges on the third season of singing reality show “The Voice”.
