Khamzat Chimaev Bio
Khamzat Khizarovich Chimaev (born May 1, 1994) is a Swedish professional mixed martial artist and freestyle wrestler who competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship's welterweight division (UFC).
He formerly competed in the Brave Combat Federation (Brave CF). Chimaev is a three-time Swedish National champion in wrestling.
According to ranking, he is third on te list of UFC welterweight rankings as of April 12, 2022.
Chimaev was born in Russia's Chechen Republic, where he began wrestling at the age of five. He purportedly earned a bronze medal in the junior category at the Russian National Championships. He moved to Sweden with his mother and older brother in 2013, when he was 18 years old.
