David Schwimmer Bio
David Schwimmer is an American actor, director, producer, and activist, born in Flushing, Queens, New York on November 2, 1966. He is best known for his role as Ross Geller in the television sitcom Friends. He started acting in high school and would perform in school plays at Beverly Hills High School. After graduating from college he co-founded the non-profit theater company the Looking Glass Theatre Company. In 1982 he made his debut on television on the show Police Squad! and continued landing rolls in shows like The Wonder Years, L.A. Law, Blossom, Monty, Friends, ER, MADtv, Curb Your Enthusiasm, 30 Rock, Entourage, Come Fly With Me, Web Therapy, Episodes, Feed the Beast, Will & Grace among others. In 1991 he made his debut in film in the movie Fight the Intruder and has since and roles in the films Crossing the Bridge, Wolf, The Thin Pink Line, Hotel, Nothing But the Truth, John Carter, The Iceman, Big Nothing, Duane Hopwood and more. He has been the director or producer on several films and shows, including Since You’ve Been Gone, Friends, Humanoid, Americana, Joey, New Car Smell, Little Britain USA, Trust, Fly Like Mercury and others. Throughout his career he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won a Screen Actors Guild Award, a Satellite Award, an Online Film & Television Association Award and a TV Guide Award.
