Emily Berrington is an English actress born December 7, 1988, in Oxford, England. Berrington was initially interested in politics, as she attended King's College London, studying development geography. Her dissertation thesis was on the subject of "the economic collapse of Argentina and the resulting rise of cooperativism". At the time of her education, Berrington was part of a youth drama program. It wasn't until 2009 that Berrington quit her political career and redirected her interests towards acting. She continued her education at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and graduated in 2012. Berrington later explained that she gave up her political engagements because the general environment is "very masculine and not particularly encouraging to young blonde women". As an actress, Berrington was a part of numerous projects, both in film and television - The Inbetweeners 2 (2014), The Last Showing (2014), The Hippopotamus (2017), a movie that is an adaptation of a novel by Stephen Fry. In The Hippopotamus, Berrington acted alongside Roger William Allam, a known British actor. Her most notable television appearance is in Humans (2015), where she played the main role.
