Gbemisola Ikumelo Bio

Gbemisola Ikumelo (who’s also known by her nickname Gbemi) is an Nigerian-born actress, writer and filmmaker who was born on March 26 in Ondo States, Nigeria. She was born in Nigeria but was raised in the United Kingdom.

Gbemisola is famous as one of the winners of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) award in the Short Form Programme category for her miniseries Brain in Gear (2019). She then starred in The Last Tree (directed by Shola Amoo), the British sketch comedy Famalam and The Last Tree. She scored a nomination in the Best Female Performance in Famalam where she also starred with Tom Moutchi, Vivienne Acheampong and Samson Kayo. The comedy series also received a nomination for an RTS Award for Best Scripted Comedy.
