Claudia Winkleman is a British TV personality, film critic, and journalist, born on January 15, 1972, in London, England. She is best known for hosting Strictly Come Dancing alongside Tess Daly in 2014. Other popular programs that she has hosted include The Eurovision Song Contest, The Film Programme, and The Great British Sewing Bee. The actress Sophie Winkleman is her half-sister.
Claudia has graduated from New Hall, Cambridge with a degree in Art History. She has been associated with BBC Radio 2 and presented Claudia on Sunday, and Claudia Winkleman’s Arts Show. As a journalist, she began as a travel writer, and her publications have been included in Sunday Times, Cosmopolitan, The Independent, and Tatler. In 2007, she became one of the presenters of the TV short documentary titled Concert for Diana: The Princes’ Interview. The same year she co-hosted the Eurovision Dance Contest alongside Graham Norton. In 2020, she wrote and published her first book called Quite: Love, Life And Eyeliner which became a Sunday Times bestseller. As for awards, in 2015 she picked up the Glamour Award for Presenter of the Year for her work in Strictly Come Dancing, and Royal Television Award for Best Entertainment Presenter.
