Elderbrook Bio
Elderbrook is the project name under which British musician and producer Alexander Kotz operates. In 2015, Kotz released his first EP, “Simmer Down,” receiving critical praise from British club magazine Mixmag. Signed to the Black Butter Records label, Kotz’s music mixes everyday sounds of household objects, including ice cracking, things falling, and voice samples, and uses them for fodder in his production sound library.
Like many one-man acts in electronic music, Elderbrook is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, singer, songwriter, and experimental artist in every way, making surprisingly diverse tunes and remixes. His collaboration with CamelPhat, titled “Cola,” hit #1 on the US Billboard Dance Club chart, and received a Grammy nomination for “Best Dance Song” 2018.
