Jaleel White Bio

Jaleel White is an American actor, writer, producer, and voice actor. He was born Jaleel Ahmad White on the 27th of November, 1976, in Pasadena, California, U.S. He began his career in 1989, when he was cast as Steve Urkel on the sitcom “Family Matters”. In 1999, he starred in the series “Grown Ups”, which was based on a story White wrote. He landed supporting roles in several series such as “Boston”, “Legal”, “House M.D.” and “Psych”. In 2002, he played a supporting role in the comedy “Big Fat Liar”, starring Frankie Muniz. In 2010, he played in “Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus”. In 2012, White hosted the game show “Total Blackout”. In 1991, White won the Young Artist Award for Outstanding Young Comedian in a Television series for his work in the series “Family Matters”. In 1997, he also won the NAACP Image Awards as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his work in the same series.
