Calen Harty (popularly known as CalenRaps) is an American rapper and musical artist who was born on May 5th, 1995 in Arlington, Texas, United States. He was born and raised in Texas. Calen attended and graduated from Texas State University. DIY CalenRaps, a Texas rapper, has built a music career by rhyming about his life, vulnerabilities, and ambitions. In late 2015, the Arlington native began posting hip-hop tunes to Soundcloud. In 2016, CalenRaps was a prominent performer in BubbaGotBeatz's viral #TenToesDownChallenge, in which musicians performed his "Ten Toes" instrumental. His heartfelt 2018 track "Hear Me (Freestyle)" which explores his estranged father's relationship, racked up millions of streams. Then, Calen moved to Los Angeles to immerse himself in the music industry, inspiring the album Homesick, released in 2020.
