Cedric Doumbe Bio

Cedric Doumbé (born August 30, 1992 in Cameroon) is a Cameroonian-French kickboxer of the welterweight division most renowned for his victories over Murthel Groenhart, Nieky Holzken, and a controversial loss against the Chinese kickboxing sensation, Fang Bian.

His official website describes him as a comedian, boxer, actor-director, model, humorist, and stylist. Doumbé started his martial arts career fighting karate but soon went on to train in old school American kickboxing known as 'Full Contact' which, oddly, does not allow kicks below the waistline.

Doumbé made his Glory Kickboxing debut in 2015 at Glory 22 where he lost to Yoann Kongolo via a unanimous decision. He became the Glory welterweight champion in 2017. As of July 1, 2017, he was ranked the #1 welterweight in the world by Combat Press. He has defended his title 3 times. On March 25, 2017, Doumbé made the first successful defense of his Glory welterweight title at Glory 39 in Brussels, Belgium where he defeated Yoann Kongolo via a unanimous decision.

In fighting, Doumbé describes his role models as the heavyweight legend boxer Rocky Marciano and the less popular but equally prestigious fighter, Samir Mohammed (also called The Little Prince), who retired with a record of 116-0.
