Scott Stewart Bakula is an actor and producer born on October 9, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. He attended the University of Kansas. In 1978, Scott portrayed John in an episode of the TV series On Our Own. In 1986, he played Peter Strickland in My Sister Sam and Jeffrey Wilder in The Magical World of Disney.
In 1992, Scott won a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Drama for his role in Quantum Leap. He was the executive producer of What Girls Learn, Papa's Angels, The Bachelor's Baby, and Prowler. He produced the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, and 21st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.
His role in Behind the Candelabra earned him a nomination at the 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie. Scott has appeared on Entertainment Tonight, The Late Late Show with James Corden, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. He starred in NCIS: New Orleans, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Chuck, and Star Trek: Enterprise.
