Haviah Mighty Bio

Born in Brampton, Ontario, on December 17, 1992, Haviah Mighty is a rapper from Canada. She first gained notoriety in 2016 as a part of the hip hop group The Sorority, and then in 2017 she independently released multiple EPs, including Flower City. The Polaris Music Prize was awarded to her first album, 13th Floor, in 2019. She was included as one of XXL's "15 Toronto rappers you should know" and CBC Music's "New Faces of Canadian Hip Hop." After turning fifteen, Mighty started making songs. She self-published No Studio, her first mixtape, when she was seventeen years old. Her next three releases were #EIGHTEEN, Dominant 7eventh, and Bass Loud. She won the 2016 CNE's Rising Star Talent competition and the national talent competition "So You Think You Can Rap Canada." Along with three other female rappers from the Toronto region, she released a cypher in 2017 in honour of International Women's Day. Together, the four of them eventually founded the organisation, The Sorority.
