Henry Rollins Bio

Henry Rollins was born in Washington, United States, on February 13, 1961, with the birth name Henry Garfield. The American singer, poet, monologuist, and publisher, best known for his work as the lead singer of the Los Angeles hardcore band Black Flag throughout the 1980s. For Get in the Van: On the Road with Black Flag, Rollins won the Grammy Award for best spoken-word album (1994). His well-known radio programme Harmony in My Head, which began in 2004, provided a platform for his varied musical tastes, while his unconventional television chat show The Henry Rollins Show (2006–07) offered a fresh take on the genre. He started producing the Henry & Heidi podcast series in 2015, including his longtime assistant Heidi May. Rollins also performed as an actor, appearing in films including Heat (1995) and Lost Highway (1997) as well as Sons of Anarchy (2009), The Legend of Korra (2014), Con Man (2015–17), and Z Nation (2009–present) (2017). In 2013–14, he served as presenter of the history programme 10 Things You Don't Know About.
