Anitta Bio
Anita is a Brazilian singer, dancer, and actor born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on March 30, 1993. She started singing at 8 years old in her church choir in Rio de Janeiro. In 2010 she posted a video of her singing on YouTube and the independent record company Furacao 2000 got ahold of her to sign her to their label. She released the song “Meiga e Abusada” in 2012 that became incredibly popular and she was signed with the Warner Music Brasil label in 2013. Her first hit single was released in 2013 titled “Show das Poderosas”. The song reached the top of the Brazil Hot 100 Airplay chart and has over 130 million views on YouTube. She released her first album in 2013 titled Anitta that sold over 170k copies. In 2014 she released her second studio album Ritmo Perfeito that sold over 45k copies within its first month of release. In 2015 she released her third studio album Bang that sold over 40k copies its first week and over 300k copies total. She has also made appearances in a number of films and television shows. Throughout her career she has been nominated for a number of awards and has won several MTV Europe Awards, several Premio Multishow Awards among others.
