Coming from Nashville, Tennessee, The Dead Weather was formed in 2008. Members Jack White, Alison Mosshart, Dean Fertita, and Lawrence. The group was found when the Raconteurs toured with Kills in US. That time, White had bronchitis making Mosshart to sing several of his songs. Their on-stage chemistry led to their decision to cover Gary Numan’s “Are Friends Electric?.”
They then worked for a full album in a matter of weeks, and made their live debut in March 2009. Their album “Horehound” was their debut which arrived that summer. They also contributed a song for the “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” entitled “Rolling in on a Burning Tire.”
