Douglas Richard McDermott, better known as Doug McDermott, is an American professional basketball player who plays as a small forward in the NBA. He was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, United States, on January 3, 1992. Doug spent his formative years playing for Ames High School and Creighton University, and he turned professional in 2014 when he was selected by the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the NBA Draft. He has since represented the Chicago Bulls, Oklahoma City Thunder, New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks, Indiana Pacers, and San Antonio Spurs. Throughout his time with the Spurs, Doug played alongside Dejoounte Murray, Keldon Johnson, Lonnie Walker, and Tre Jones.
