Joe Torry, also known as Joseph Pierre Torry, is a comedian and actor from the United States. He was born on September 28th, 1965 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He is a graduate of Lincoln University, where he studied mass communications and broadcast journalism and earned a degree in both of those fields. In 1996, he laid the groundwork for what would later become the Giving Back the Love Foundation, a charity with the mission of assisting young people in the St. Louis neighbourhood. The audience loved the comic and actor when he hosted Def Comedy Jam in 1992, the year after he took over hosting duties for the show. In addition to that, he has made appearances in movies like "American History X" and "Poetic Justice”. He also co-starred alongside Noah Wyle in the critically acclaimed television series ER.
