Ion Cutelaba Bio
Ion Cuelaba, often referred to as Ion Nicolae Cutelaba, is a professional mixed martial artist from Moldova. He was born on December 14, 1993 in Chişinău, Moldova. The Ultimate Fighting Championship categorises him as a competitor in the light heavyweight class. In 2012, Cutelaba made his debut in the professional circuit, during which he largely competed for regional promotions around Eastern Europe. Before signing with the UFC in the spring of 2016, he had a record of 11-1-1, including one no contest. In 2016, at UFC Fight Night 89, Cutelaba competed against Misha Cirkunov for the first time in a promotional capacity. The bout ended in the third round with him being submitted by his opponent. Cutelaba's subsequent bout, which took place in 2016, at UFC Fight Night 96, pitted him against Jonathan Wilson. He prevailed in the bout by way of a unanimous decision.
