Tatyana Ali is an American actress and singer. She was born Tatyana Marisol Ali on the 24th of January, 1979, in North Bellmore, Long Island, New York, U.S. At 6 years old she began performing on the children's educational program “Sesame Street”. She landed her breakthrough role in 1990 when she was cast on the sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” a role she played during 6 years. She has a parallel singer career, and in 1998 she released her debut album “Kiss The Sky”, which got certified gold and included two hits “Boy You Knock Me Out” and “Everytime”. In 2008, she performed alongside will.i.am on the song “Yes We Can”. She holds credits in films such as “Brother”, “Nora’s Hair Salon”, “Dear Secret Santa” and many more. In 2011, she received the Living Legacy Award from the Caribbean Heritage Organization.
