Circa Waves Bio

Circa Waves is an English indie-rock band that was formed in 2013 in Liverpool, England. The band members consist of vocalist and guitarist Keiran Shudall, bassist Sam Rourke, guitarist Joe Falconer and drummer Collin Jones. The band met through mutual friends in Liverpool Sound City and released their debut single, ‘Get Away/Good For Me’ on Transgressive Records. In 2014, the band’s single, ‘Stuck in My Teeth’ was played on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 station listing the single to be the Hottest Record in the World. A year later in 2015, Circa Waves released their debut album, ‘Young Chasers’ which landed at number 10 on the UK charts leading them to perform at music festivals such as Glastonbury, Boardmasters and Reading and Leeds. Their single from the album, ‘T-Shirt Weather’ currently has 66 million plays on Spotify. The fresh and up-coming band was loved by many indie-rock fans which led to their second album, ‘Different Creatures’ in 2017 which successfully landed on the number eleven spot on the UK Albums Chart. This was followed by their 2019 album, ‘What’s It Like Over There’ which produced a different sound consisting of a mix of indie and pop rock. The album landed at number ten on the UK Albums chart. Their most recent work, ‘Sad Happy’ will be released in two parts; the first being ‘Happy’ which was released in January 2020 and will be followed  by ‘Sad’ later in the year.
