Brian Tyree Henry is an award-winning American actor. He was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, USA, on March 31, 1982. He began his career with guest appearances in the TV series Law & Order, The Good Wife, Boardwalk Empire, and How to Get Away with Murder. He rose to fame in 2016 when he was cast as one of the main characters in the FX TV series Atlanta alongside Donald Glover, LaKeith Stanfield, Zazie Beetz, and Khris Davis. He has since received roles in the Hollywood blockbusters Godzilla vs. Kong, Joker Child’s Play, and lent his voice to the character Jefferson Davis in the animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. He has won an Austin Film Critics Association Award for Breakthrough Artist, a Columbus Film Critics Association Ward for Actor of the Year, and an Oklahoma Film Critics Circle Award for Best Body of Work.
