Born on March 28, 1969, in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States, Rodney Allan Atkins is an American country music singer-songwriter known for his incredible talent of combining traditional accents with modern day spirit. Atkins kicked off his musical career in 1996 but found his big breakthrough in 2003 with his album Honesty. Its single Honesty (Write Me a List) climbed to number 4 on Billboard's Country Singles chart skyrocketing Atkin’s career to success. In 2006, he released his second album If You're Going Through Hell which earned him the Academy of Country Music award for Top New Vocalist. Many of his singles, such as, Watching You (2007), These Are My People (2007), Cleaning This Gun (Come On In Boy) (2008) peaked the charts including the 2019's record-breaking Caught Up in the Country which secured the longest run on country charts.
