Performing under the name Bubba Sparxxx, hip hop artist Warren Anderson Mathis was born on March 6, 1977, and was raised in Georgia. His neighbor introduced him to rap music when he was a young man, and he began listening to some of the biggest artists of the time, including N.W.A. and OutKast. Bubba Sparxxx was later discovered rapping late one night after a football game, and eventually signed with Interscope Records, through whom he released the album Dark Days, Bright Nights in 2001. The album was certified Gold, and though his second album Deliverance did not do as well in comparison, it was his third album The Charm, eleased in 2006, that carried him to fame due to the singles “Ms. New Booty” and “Heat it Up”.
After establishing his own record label titled New South Entertainment, he released the albums Pain Management in 2013 and Made on McCosh Mill Road in 2014. He has also made various television appearances, including on an episode of My Super Sweet Sixteen and on MTV’s Celebrity Rap Superstar.
