RJD2 is the stage name of Ramble Jon Krohn, an American DJ and electronic music producer, DJ, songwriter and singer, born on the 27th of May, 1976, in Eugene, Oregon, U.S. He is best known for having been a member of the band MHz Legacy, Icebird and Soul Position. He began mixing and producing beats as a teenager, and in 1993, he released his debut album “Deadringer” through the label Definitive Jux. The next year, he collaborated and paired up with acclaimed rapper Blueprint to form the duo known as Soul Position. In 2004, Krohn released his second solo album “Since We Last Spoke” displaying a very different range of sounds. He became a very in-demand producer as well as remixer, for a number of bands, including Massive Attack, The Polyphonic Spree and Elbow, among many others. From 2005 to 2020, he released 6 more albums, including acclaimed “Magnificent City” and “The Fun Ones”.
