Slowdive is an alternative band formed in Reading, England in 1989. The current members are Nick Chaplin, Rachel Goswell, Neil Halstead, Christian Savill, and Simon Scott. The group was active until 1995. They took a break for almost a decade, but they started to release new music in 2014.
The band released a self-titled EP. This was followed by another EP Morningrise which spurned the title single that made it to the U.K. pop chart peaking at No. 83. A song from another EP, “Catch the Breeze,” also entered the charts at No. 52.
The group released its debut album in 1991. Just for a Day made it to No. 32 of the pop charts. Other albums of the band include Souvlaki and Pygmalion in 1993 and 1995, respectively. In 2017, the group released a self-titled album.
