Joe Perry is a guitarist born on 10th September 1950 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, United States. He is widely recognized as the founding member and lead guitarist of the rock band “Aerosmith”. He also runs his own solo band called The Joe Perry Project. He is also a member of the American music supergroup “Hollywood Vampires”. Rolling Stone ranked him number 84 in their list of The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.
In 2013, Perry and fellow songwriter Steven Tyler won the ASCAP Founders Award. They were also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He has released many albums with Aerosmith, including “Aerosmith” in 1973, “Toys in the Attic” in 1975,” “Draw the Line” in 1977, “Pump” in 1989, and others. With The Joe Perry Project, he released “Let the Music Do the Talking” in 1980, “I’ve Got the Rock’n’Rolls Again” in 1981 and “Once a Rocker, Always a Rocker” in 1983.
