American professional basketball player, DeWayne Dedmon was born on 12th August 1989 in Lancaster, California. He began to play football in his senior year. In 2010, he signed with the University of Southern California but was redshirted as a result of transfer regulations of the NCAA. He then began to practice with USC in the second semester. It was in the 2012-13 season that he had the best career stretch averaging 10.8 points, three blocks per game, and 8.4 rebounds in five games. His performance earned him the nickname, ‘The Machine’. He was declared for the NBA draft in 2013. After playing for the Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks, he was signed with Golden State Warriors. In 2014, he signed a short contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. He was named to the Future All-Star roster in the 2014 NBA-D League All-Star Game. He has played for various teams including Orlando Magic, San Antonio Spurs, Atlanta Hawks, and Sacramento Kings.
