Jackie Earle Haley is an award-winning American actor and director best known for his work in film and television. He was born in Los Angeles, California, United States, on July 14, 1961. Jackie began his acting career in 1972 when he appeared in the TV series Wait Till Your Father Gets Home and The Carol Burnett Show, and he has since had recurring roles in the TV series The First Lady, The Tick, Preacher, Human Target, and Gravedale High. Jackie’s filmography includes the blockbusters Lincoln, Shutter Island, Alita: Battle Angel, Dark Shadows, A Nightmare on Elm Street, London Has Fallen, RoboCop, and The Dark Tower, but he is best known for starring in the 2009 action-mystery film Watchmen alongside Patrick Wilson, Carla Gugino, Malin Akerman, and Billy Crudup. For his acting, Jackie has won multiple awards including a Chicago Film Critics Association Award for Best Supporting Actor, a Dallas-Fort Worth Film Critics Association Award for Best Supporting Actor, and an Oklahoma Film Critics Circle Award for Best Supporting Actor.
