Why Don’t We Bio

Why Don't We or WDW is a boy band formed in September 2016 in Los Angeles, California. The band is composed of Zach Herron, Jack Avery, Daniel Seavey, Corbyn Besson, and Jonah Marais. In October 2016, they released their debut single “Taking you”, which got very successful, getting more than 20 million views on YouTube. They released their first album named “8 Letters” in 2018, produced by the label Atlantic Records. The album peaked as #9 on the US Billboard Chart on September 14th, 2018 and it stayed on the Chart during the next 4 weeks. The band sold out dates for their “8 Letters Tour”, playing in the US, Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. In 2019, the band won the Choice Music Group on the Teen Choice Awards, winning over Panic! at the Disco and the Jonas Brothers among other artists that were nominated. In 2020 WDW had released one studio album, six extended plays, sixteen music videos, and twenty-one singles.
