Emily Bear Bio

Emily Bear is an American pianist, composer, and singer-songwriter, born on August 30, 2001, in Rockford, Illinois. She started taking piano lessons at a young age and quickly started performing at various events. At age five she was the youngest performer ever at the Ravinia Festival. Emily became well-known after making appearances on the most watched television programs and performing her compositions and other works with orchestras in prestigious venues and festivals such as Carnegie Hall, The Hollywood Bowl, Montreux Jazz Festival, and Jazz Open Stuttgart. Quince Jones produced her 2013 album Diversity, which included collaborations with drummer Francisco Mela, the bassist Carlitos del Puerto, and the cellist Zuill Bailey. The album reached No. 5 on Billboard's Jazz Albums lists. After the success of her debut jazz album, she went on to record a jazz EP with her trio, EP Emotions. She also released a concept album with Abigail Barlow called The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical, and a jazz single, Into the Blue.
