Jim Parsons is an American actor and producer. He was born on the 24th of March, 1973, in Houston, Texas, U.S. Parsons’s interest in theatre started very young, and he started taking theatre classes since elementary school. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from the University of Houston. During his studies, he acted at local venues in more than 20 plays, and he was a member of Infernal Bridegroom Productions. Later on, he studied a Master in Classical Theatre at the University of San Diego. After his graduation, he went to New York to pursue his career, where he worked in Off-Broadway productions and landed multiple small roles in television series in movies like “Garden State”. In 2007 he got his breakthrough role in the television comedy series “The Big Bang Theory” created by Chuck Lorre. His role was highly praised and Parsons was nominated for Primetime Emmy Awards in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, which he won in 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014.
