Cold Chisel Bio

Cold Chisel is an iconic Australian rock band that emerged in the late 1970s, leaving an indelible mark on the country's music landscape. Formed in Adelaide in 1973, the band consists of Jimmy Barnes (vocals), Ian Moss (guitar/vocals), Don Walker (keyboards), Phil Small (bass), and Charley Drayton (drums).

Renowned for their powerful live performances and a distinct blend of rock, blues, and pub rock influences, Cold Chisel quickly gained a dedicated fan base. Their self-titled debut album in 1978 set the stage for a prolific career that produced timeless classics like "Khe Sanh," "Flame Trees," and "Cheap Wine." Despite a hiatus in the 1980s, Cold Chisel reunited in the late 1990s, captivating both new and existing audiences with their continued energy and musical prowess. Their contribution to Australian music was officially recognized with induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 1993. Cold Chisel's enduring legacy lies in their ability to connect with listeners through heartfelt lyrics, memorable melodies, and a raw, authentic sound that has transcended generations.
