Marillion is a rock band that originates from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England from 1979. The band is represented as a bridge between Britain’s punk rock scene and their classic progressive rock. Marillion is considered to be the most successful neo-progressive rock band of the late 1980s. Since its formation back in 1979, Marillion have released eighteen albums, with eight of them being charted in the Top Ten UK albums between 1983 and 1994. Their third album, called Misplaced Childhood reached the number one of the Top Ten UK albums. Marillion is best known for many of their singles, with Kayleigh and Lavander being the audience’s top two favorite songs of all time. Kayleigh was featured in the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States.
