Erik Griffin is an American stand-up comedian, writer, and actor known for his notable role in the Comedy Central sitcom Workaholics (2011-2017). Griffin grew up in LA and became interested in stand-up comedy from an early age. His mother got him into a stand-up comedy course at UCLA because of his rising interest in pursuing a career in comedy. However, after completing the course, Griffin abandoned his career as a comedian, due to personal disappointment. In 2003, Griffin got back into comedy, by doing a half-hour special for Comedy Central, and later that year, he released his first stand-up album, Technical Foul: Volume One. His role of Montez Walker in Workaholics made the actor/comedian widely recognized, along with other roles on television such as Blunt Talk (2015-2016) and I'm Dying Up Here (2017-2018). In 2017, Griffin released a special called Erik Griffin: The Ugly Truth, and in 2018, the comedian released a second special named Amerikan Warrior. Both comedy acts were aired on Showtime.
