Amy Landecker was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 30, 1969. She won an Obie award for her participation on the play “Bug” in NYC. Her career in film started when she appeared in A Serious Man in 2009 as Mrs. Samsky. The said film has been nominated for an Oscar.
She appeared in other projects including Curb Your Enthusiasm, Louie, and Enough Said. In 2014, she also appeared on Transparent which won an Emmy and a Golden Globe Award.
She also took over the supporting role for the films All Is Bright, Beatriz At Dinner, and Project Almanac. She appeared in House of Lies, Private Practice, People of Earth, Room 104, Retired at 35, and Grey’s Academy. She also voiced Barbara Lake in Trollhunters.
