Ian Moss is an Australian rock musician born in Alice Springs, Australia on March 20, 1955. He was one of the founding members of the rock band Cold Chisel where he plays guitar and occasionally sings vocals. Cold Chisel was formed in 1973 and had released eight studio albums, including Cold Chisel, Breakfast at Sweethearts, East, Circus Animals, Twentieth Century, The Last Wave of Summer, No Plans, and The Perfect Crime. Cold Chisel was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 1993. In 1989 Moss released his debut solo studio album titled Matchbook. The album reached number one on the ARIA Albums Chart. In 1990 he won five ARIA Music Awards for Album of the Year, Best Male Artist, Breakthrough Artist Album, Single of the Year and Breakthrough Artist – Single. Moss has since released the albums World’s Away, Petrolhead, Six Strings, Let’s all Get Together, Soul on West 53rd, and Ian Moss.
