Yoshiki Hayashi, better known by his stage name Yoshiki, is a Japanese musician, songwriter, composer, and record producer, who was born on November 20th, 1965. The musician is best known for his work with the visual kei rock band X Japan, of which Yoshiki is the leader as well as a co-founder. He is the drummer, pianist, and primary songwriter for the band. Yoshiki has been called "one of the most influential composers in Japanese history" by Consequence of Sound, and referred to as a "musical innovator" by Billboard. Additionally, Billboard has also called him a "musical innovator."
