On June 6, 1978, in Cali, Colombia, Mauro Castillo was born. He is a singer, composer, and trombonist. He was motivated to pursue music when he was 11 years old after seeing the Caney Orchestra. Mauro attended the Universidad del Valle to study trombone, and after completing his military service, he joined the police orchestra. Later, when he wrote "El Alboroto" for the Bemtu Orchestra, he became well-known. His recordings, live performances, and partnerships with various Colombian musicians have made him most well-known. He is renowned for his work on the album “Imaginacion” and has contracts with several top record labels, including Sony Music and Codiscos. Additionally, Mauro received two Latin Grammy nominations in 2006 for his work with Tito Nieves and N'Klabe. Additionally, he has worked and collaborated with a wide variety of musicians, including Charlie Zaa and Naty Botero during several live performances and on the song "Esta Noche es Nuestra".
