Katherine Moennig is an American actress. She was born Katherine Sian Moennig on the 19th of December, 1977, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S. She studied drama at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. She appeared in Our Lady Peace musical video “Is Anybody Home?” in 1999. Her first major role was in the series “Young Americans” for which she gained critical acclaim. She went on to play in several movies like “The L World” alongside Drew Barrymore, “Art School Confidential”, and “Ray Donovan”. In 2006, she made her Off Broadway debut as “Guardians” alongside Lee Pace. In 2009, she joined the cast of the television series “Three Rivers”. Overall, she has credits in more than 12 feature films and 10 television series. In 2019 she starred in the popular series “The L World: Generation Q”.
