Chris Hernandez is a professional photographer. After a 27-year stint in the police force, Marine Reserve, and Army National Guard, Hernandez turned to photography.
Upon a friend’s special request, Hernandez took some funeral pictures from a helicopter in 2015. Following the shoot, Hernandez decided to plunge fully into photography.
Having realized he could blend his new passion for photography with his lifelong passion for military history, and his collection of WW2 uniforms and equipment, Hernandez began to take WW2-themed portraits. In addition to his military and tactical-themed portraits, Hernandez also explores vintage pinup-style photos. After a random encounter with a 1947 Speed Graphic film camera that worked, Hernandez acquired the piece and started taking film photos. He also began collecting film cameras Although photography for Hernandez began as a side job, he hopes to become a full-time photographer.
