Coming from San Fernando Valley, California, Run River North was formed in 2011. Members are composed of Korean-American musicians, and was previously called as Monsters Calling Home. As and indie folk rock group, members Alex Hwang, Sally Kang, Daniel Chae, Joseph Chun, John Chong, and Jennifer Rim boasts a lush-folk sound.
Their video for the song “Fight to Keep” that was filmed in the back seats of their Honda cars, Honda’s marketing department became interested with it and used the song for an official Honda commercial. A surprise appearance was also made on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, resulting to more audience. They had a sold-out show in Troubador venue, and was later signed to Nettwerk Music Group. Their self-titled debut was released in 2014.
