Starsailor Bio

Starsailor is an alternative rock band from England, which earned critical acclaim of “Britain’s best new band” from their very first released single, “Fever” (2001). Their line-up is James Walsh (guitar, lead vocals), Barry Westhead (keyboards), James Stelfox (bass), and Ben Byrne (drums). Their first notice came while playign gigs at pubs when a journalist for NME magazine gave them a rave review; they soon signed with label EMI.

They’ve since had the honor of landing producer John Leckie (producer for Radiohead) on their album “Silence is Easy” (2002), recorded in Los Angeles, California. They continue to release albums up to 2017‘s “All Is Life,” while their first three albums charted Playinum, gold, and silver, respectively.
