William Ray Engvall Jr., better known as Bill Engvall, is an American comedian, actor, and writer best known for the Blue Collar Comedic series. He was born in Galveston, Texas, United States, on July 27, 1957. He began his comedic career in 1990 when he relocated to Southern California where he appeared in the shows A Pair of Jokers, The Golden Palace, and An Evening at The Improv. He received a push early on in his career when he received the Best Male Standup at the American Comedy Awards in 1992. He has gone on to appear in the comedy series Delta, The Jeff Foxworthy Show, Bounty Hunters, Last Man Standing, and The Bill Engvall Show. He is best known for his work in the TV series Blue Collar TV that also featured Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy, Brooke Dillman, and Ashley Eckstein. Bill has received nominations for Best Comedy Album at the Grammy Awards and a Grace Award for Television nomination at the MovieGuide Awards.
