Melanie Paxson is an American television actress who was born in Champaign, Illinois, on September 26, 1972. She is a citizen of the United States. After completing the drama programme at the University of Missouri and earning her degree, she went on to perform with the sketch comedy troupe Second City in Chicago and make an appearance on stage with the renowned Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Her roles in the television comedies "Notes from the Underbelly" and "Happy Family" brought her the most fame. Her roles as the Fairy Godmother in the 2015 Disney TV movie Descendants and Judith Meola in the 2015 high school comedy/drama The Outfield were both performed by her in the year 2015. Additionally, she was featured in a number of nationally broadcast commercials for the Gladware brand. In addition, she appeared in the film Saving Mr. Banks alongside the well-known English actress Emma Thompson.
