Judith Light Bio

Judith Light is an American actress, producer, and advocate, born on February 9, 1949, in Trenton, New Jersey. She is a multiple Tony and Emmy award-winner known for her work both on film and television. Judith made her stage debut in 1970, before appearing in Broadway`s A Doll's House in 1975. She is well-known for her television roles in Who’s The Boss alongside Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano, and Ugly Betty alongside America Ferrera. Her role in Transparent by Jill Soloway earned her a Golden Globe nomination and multiple Emmy and Critics’ Choice nominations. For the role in the series The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, she received an Emmy and Critics Choice nomination. The American actress is also an HIV/AIDS advocate and LGBTQIA+ and human rights activist.
