Popular DJ, singer, TV presenter, and radio personality, Francesco Facchinetti was born on 2nd May 1980 in Milan, Italy. His father (Roby Facchinetti) was a singer and he, too, joined a punk band earlier in his career.
Soon after, Francesco became a presenter on Hit Channel, a channel coordinated by Claudio Cecchetto at that time. Francesco’s first single, La canzone del capitano (released under the pseudonym DJ Francesco) became a huge hit in Italy and rose to #3 on the FIMI Singles Chart for 4 weeks.
Francesco’s second single, Salta, released in 2003, was another hit, rising to one of the top 20 hits in Italy in that year. Some of his other popular tracks include: Non Cado Piu and L'isola dei famosi.
Starting from 2008, Facchinetti hosted the first four seasons of X Factor in Italy (the Italian equivalent of Simon Cowell's British talent program) where he worked with Katy Perry. When RAI chose to end the show, Facchinetti introduced Star Academy. He also presented the music based program Ciak si canta alongside Belén Rodríguez in 2011.
Francesco is well renowned for being one of the founding members of the Italian EDM group We Are PresidentS.
